It is quite sure that Corona will accompany human for several next months or couple of years, after understanding this pandemic has succeeded to reach the level of menace.
In initial months, we were locked inside our houses due to countrywide lockdown. While Offices, Factories, Shopping malls or any such commercial places were closed, Trains, Buses were stagnant which helped to save the water usage at higher extent. Also , in the last year, rainfall was also good enough to fill all the major water bodies in India.
But now, the scenario has changed, when 'unlock' is in execution and becoming a new normal where people have started all the commerce related activities. Which is also inevitable.
Now understand, every person will become more susceptible for exposure to the next level of viral load as Covid-19 positives are increasing exponentially. To safeguard ourselves adopting a new habit, we are washing and will continue to wash our hands more frequently in coming time. On an average, every proper hand-wash consumes 2 liters of water. Further, after coming back to home in evening, every individual will hrequire a second shower/bath which can utilize at least 50-60 liters of water .
Now multiply this consumption against the population of India and imagine the water requirement for upcoming year!
So it's high time that we must understand the value of each and every drop of a clean water and should preserve it like most precious commodity now a days. Just imagine, what if next monsoon would betray us which often happens in India.
Hope you would spread this awareness to your circles and ensure to tighten up and repair all the taps, valves and leakages of pipes and will monitor water usage very cautiously...
